To help us deliver our medical image analysis solutions to large clinical trials we are hiring an experienced Senior Developer/Support Engineer in a full-time capacity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative, but not exhaustive of the role. There may be some variation and/or development of these duties and responsibilities without changing the general nature of the role:

  • Lead on management of the TrialTracker Support ticket queue, providing advanced support via our issue tracking systems.
  • Design, implement, deploy and support IXICO’s Neuroscience Applications (primarily written in Java/Python/Bash) both front-end and back-end.
  • Work closely with other developers to undertake software analysis, estimation, programming, testing, and debugging.
  • Work closely with the Senior Scientific and Technology Engineer – Team Leader on best practices, new tools, and technologies.
  • Support Data Management for all image data transfers ensuring correct formatting of final data for transfer.
  • Configure and develop logic and custom Javascript logic for bespoke TrialTracker forms.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum team and promote continuous improvement process.
  • Create and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Participate in the innovation process by coming up with new ideas for company products and development process.

Qualifications and skills required for the role:

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution in a technical discipline e.g., Computer Science.
  • Strong professional experience in programming using scripting languages (Bash/Python).
  • Strong experience of Linux/Unix command line.
  • Experience supporting production software for internal/external users via issue tracking software
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Database concepts and technologies (RDBMS/SQL/PostgreSQL).
  • Understanding of Object-Orientated development.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business.
  • Strong organisational skills and great attention for detail.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Strong team-player, who is acting in a professional and personable manner.
  • Highly motivated and driven to improve and develop processes.

Desirable

  • Strong java development experience.
  • Understanding of Design Patterns.
  • Understanding of Agile concepts.
  • Knowledge of TDD and BDD.
  • Knowledge of Jenkins, SVN, Git and DevOps.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of image analysis.
