As our team continues to grow we are now looking to hire an IT Systems Engineer/Systems Administrator.

Role:

  • Provide exceptional customer service in person and remotely (phone, email etc.)
  • Maintain the operations of the company’s desktops/laptops, networking and communications platforms
  • Assure compliance with relevant standards and benchmarks for IT security and reliability
  • Manage user accounts and access levels
  • Proactively identify and flag potential risks and weaknesses of IT systems
  • Support R&D developers, Programme Management Office (PMO), Business Analysts, Operations, Quality/Compliance and others through the provision of an agile and flexible IT infrastructure
  • Participate actively and be reserve Lead in Daily Stand Up meetings
  • Assist in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level (B. Sc. In Computer Science or equivalent at 2.1 Honours level) or, alternatively, an exceptional candidate
  • Detailed knowledge and proven commercial experience of Microsoft environments
  • Experience of Laptop/Desktop/Workstation builds and configuration
  • Familiarity with Virtualisation technologies
  • Practical experience of Office365 (or equivalent) and Active Directory
  • Experience with networked printers
  • Familiarity with Networking
  • Experience with Security aspects - Anti-virus, Security updates etc.
  • Excellent communication skills in English language (oral and written); able to converse effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation

Desirable:

  • Up to date certifications in Microsoft areas
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms
  • Some basic familiarity with Linux environments
