As our great team continues to grow we are looking to hire an IT Systems Engineer/Systems Administrator in a full-time capacity.

Role Requirements:

The IT Systems Engineer/Systems Administrator is responsible for providing the expertise and skills required to support, maintain and improve the company’s internal infrastructure to ensure it’s reliable, secure and continues to meet the company’s needs. Working with external vendors and internal resources, the IT Systems Engineer/Systems Administrator will ensure that IT systems and services meeting the company’s quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service in person and remotely (phone, email etc.)
  • Maintain the operations of the company’s end user devices, and networking and communications platforms
  • Assure compliance with relevant standards and benchmarks for IT security and reliability
  • Manage user accounts and access levels
  • Proactively identify and flag potential risks and weaknesses of IT systems
  • Support IXICO users and others through the provision of agile and flexible IT infrastructure services
  • Participate actively in the IT Daily Stand-up meetings
  • Assist in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and testing
  • During Company Working from Home (WFH) periods, must be capable of providing logistical support, organising equipment shipments, returns of IT equipment (Details to be discussed)
  • IT Induction of new users
  • Even during remote working periods, attend and carry out IT support duties at IXICO`s Long Lane office on a regular basis, sometimes at quite short notice

Qualifications and skills required for the role:

Essential

  • Educated to degree level (B. Sc. In Computer Science or equivalent with minimum 2.1 Honours attainment) or, alternatively, an exceptional candidate
  • Excellent communication skills in the English language (oral and written); ability to converse effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation
  • Detailed knowledge and proven work experience in Microsoft environments
  • Experience of Laptop/Desktop/Workstation builds, configuration and end-device encryption
  • Mobile phone management and support
  • Proven practical experience of Microsoft 365 services, Microsoft Teams, Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune etc.
  • Experience with Networking and Wi-Fi
  • Experience with network printers and their configuration
  • Experience with IT Security aspects - Anti-virus, Security updates etc.
  • Familiarity with Virtualisation technologies
  • Provision of Asset management services for IT equipment

Desirable

  • Up to date certifications in relevant Microsoft areas
  • Basic understanding of Cloud platforms
  • Some basic familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
  • Familiarity with Windows Server/Services
