To help us deliver our medical image analysis solutions to large clinical trials we are hiring an experienced Head of Analysis Products in a full-time capacity.

Purpose of the Role

The Head of Analysis Products is responsible for managing a team of imaging scientists and technical engineers to develop and support analysis solutions for brain imaging (MRI / PET) in various CNS indications. This involves working closely with the Product Management function to plan and deliver a New Product Development (NPD) roadmap of imaging analysis and process improvement solutions based on specific trial requirements as well as the company’s strategic roadmap. A further dimension of the role is in the delivery of collaborative R&D projects with pharma or academic partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead on defining and resourcing a 6-12 month NPD roadmap per the company’s innovation stage-gate process, working closely with the CSO and VP Imaging.
  • Perform feasibility assessment for analysis requirements as part of the pre-sales process.
  • As part of regular NPD planning, contribute input on future development direction of product portfolio. Support scoping of future PoC and MVP projects.
  • Provide support for analysis solutions in production.
  • Support scoping and deliver collaborative R&D projects with academic and pharma partners.
  • Responsibility for recruitment and line management to assure team goals can be achieved.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support dissemination of IXICO scientific capabilities through participation at conferences and scientific symposia.
  • Work closely with the Operational and Commercial teams to assure feasibility of client requirements and planning of analysis solutions for upcoming trials. Sign off technical specification in new bids.
  • Establish and maintain close working relationship with the Research Engineering team to plan and enable seamless PoC-MVP transition for novel analysis solutions.
  • Deliver novel MVP solutions in line with the computer system validation (CSV) process and working closely with the Research Engineering team where applicable.
  • Document and manage timelines for the release and roll-out of new analysis solutions and communicate with relevant stakeholders (Operations, Science, PMO).
  • Work closely with the Principal Image Analyst to assure seamless release of novel analysis solutions into Product Pilot Phase (PPP).
  • Provide first-line support for analysis solutions in production and facilitate second-line support with relevant Research Engineer as needed.
  • Lead and manage scoping, roll-out and support of technical solutions for business process improvements.
  • Support the BD process (pre-sales meetings, proposals) with input and scientific expertise to showcase and present IXICO’s data analytics solutions.
  • Achieve efficient resource utilisation and work with the CSO and HR team to ensure the team is properly resourced and supported.
  • Work together with Quality management to always ensure compliance and regulatory adherence and support a quality culture incorporating a “right first time” methodology.

Qualifications and skills required for the role:

Essential

  • Strong imaging science expertise in a CNS application, ideally through a PhD or relevant research experience and work experience in a clinical trial environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of software and algorithm development and experience with relevant development environments.
  • Experience in delivering software solutions in a regulated healthcare or clinical trial environment
  • Ability to set clear direction of expectations at a team and individual staff level.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills (with team, cross-functionally, externally), good problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics.
  • Good team leadership skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and ISO quality management system awareness.

Desirable

  • Experience managing a team focused on developing novel solutions in a regulated healthcare environment.
  • Experience in delivering new product solutions in an innovative environment.
  • Experience managing the definition and delivery of NPD roadmaps, working closely with Product Management.
