As our team continues to grow we are now looking to hire a Data Manager.

As a member of this you will be exposed to high profile projects in the field of clinical trials (e.g. Dementia, Huntington's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, psychosis). We are looking for candidates with clinical trials background, who are available on a full-time basis.

Purpose of the Role

The Data Manager role will be responsible for executing standard, advanced and complex or novel data management tasks in clinical research studies, including performing data checks and reconciliations, preparation of departmental and project documentation, and execution of interim and final data transfers. This will include the oversight and training of junior colleagues, and contributing to the department’s procedural documents and reports.

Finally, the role requires an individual who relishes the Accountability of delivering to meet internal and external customers’ requirements and timelines and maintaining compliance with the Company’s governing procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and ad hoc hygiene checks on project data.
  • Perform Data Reconciliation of externa data.
  • Configure database extracts to support data transfers.
  • Validate the transfer/data prior to submission to sponsor.
  • Writing standard/complex Data Transfer Agreement and Image Transfer Agreements.
  • Perform standard/non-standard Data and Image Transfers.
  • Handling and processing of Clinical Device Data (e.g. wearables)
  • Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling, also assisting in standardizing and documenting data management procedures.
  • Define and implement Data Metrics and KPI’s.
  • Perform QC on all aspects of work performed in Data Management to ensure that data quality and integrity is maintained.
  • Interact with other project team members to support the set-up, maintenance, and closure of the Data Management aspects of the project.
  • Oversight and training of junior members of the DM team
  • working knowledge of each of the tasks performed within the department, and to be able to provide coverage for a broad range of tasks as and when required.

Additional:

  • Timely and accurate management of the receipt, tracking and recording of incoming data (including those received via methods other than e-transfer [e.g. CDs]), into the appropriate database including trackers.
  • Managing the upload of data into the IXICO data platform/ project-specific database on applicable projects.
  • Administrative tasks within trials such as adding sites/users to a trial.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent data management experience.
  • 5+ years ‘experience of working in data management within a clinical trials environment essential
  • Strong IT skills essential (working within cloud-based database systems desirable) and demonstrate experience of working with a variety of data formats
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team oriented and flexible; ability to function in high volume environment with competing priorities.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously under direction and prioritise workload.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Excel).
  • Ability to learn other computer systems, including databases.
  • Experience in using SAS platform desirable but not essential.
