To help us deliver our medical image analysis solutions to large clinical trials we are hiring an experienced Associate Data Manager in a full-time capacity.


Purpose of the Role:

Working closely with the Project Manager and Science Lead, the Associate Data Manager will be responsible for the smooth running of the end-to-end dataflow for clinical research Projects in which IXICO is responsible for image QC, central radiology read, analysis and transfer of neuroimaging data.

The Associate Data Manager will ensure the data management process on each new Project is setup, quality controlled, and managed robustly; meeting regularly with the Site Manager and Image Analyst to maintain oversight of this dataflow and support with issue resolutions, as and when they arise throughout the Project. The Associate Data Manager will be the escalation point and point of contact for the Sponsor and IXICO Project Manager on all data-related questions and is directly responsible for performing data checks/reconciliations, and execution of data and image transfers.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the smooth running of the end-to-end dataflow on a portfolio of Projects.
  • Ensure the data management process on each new Project is setup, quality controlled, and managed robustly.
  • Maintain oversight of this dataflow and support with issue resolutions, as and when they arise, throughout the Project.
  • Work closely with the Site Manager and Image Analyst on each Project to monitor the data quality and completeness, acting as the escalation point and point of contact for the Sponsor and IXICO Project Manager on all data related questions.
  • Perform routine and ad hoc data cleaning checks on Project data and reconciliation against external data.
  • Write Data Transfer Agreements and Image Transfer Agreements and configure the associated extracts.
  • Write project-specific transfer work instructions and perform test/production transfers.
  • Perform reconciliations and QCs during and after data migrations.
  • Assist the Data Management Manager in standardising and documenting data management procedures.
  • Perform QC on all aspects of work performed in Site Management, Image Analysis and Data Management teams to ensure that data quality and integrity is maintained.
  • Administrative tasks within trials such as adding sites/users to a trial.


Qualifications and skills required for the role:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent data management experience.
  • 1+ years’ experience of working in data management within a clinical trials environment essential
  • Strong IT skills essential (working within cloud-based database systems desirable) and demonstrate experience of working with a variety of data formats
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team oriented and flexible; ability to function in high volume environment with competing priorities.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously under direction and prioritise workload.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Excel).
  • Ability to learn other computer systems, including databases.

  • SQL Experience.
