IXICO at Huntington’s Study Group Meeting
Nicola Hobbs, IXICO’s Senior Imaging Lead, and Jessica Payne, IXICO’s Director Business Development, will be attending this year’s Huntington’s Study Group (HSG) Meeting at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center, Nashville, Tennessee.
Nicola will be presenting at the HSG meeting next week on the following:
Practicalities and Logistics of implementing neuroimaging within multi-site clinical trials
Date: Thursday 3rd November 2016
Time: 10:30 – 11:30 am
Session: Neuroimaging for HD: Successes and Future Applications
Neuroimaging techniques such as MRI and PET provide important advances in our understanding of Huntington’s disease and may be a suitable biomarker for monitoring the disease progression, while for assessing the efficacy of future disease modifying therapies. A wealth of longitudinal observational data suggests that structural MRI measures may provide valuable secondary and exploratory efficacy endpoints in putative disease-modifying trials of HD. These advances and their potential applications in HD will be discussed.
The session will:
1) Explore the knowledge and understanding of the utility of neuroimaging in HD, both for clinical and trial applications
2) Provide an update on current and future neuroimaging research in HD.
3) Provide an understanding of imaging in HD clinical research.
Within this session the following will also be presenting:
Victor Sung providing introduction to the session
Sarah Tabrizi presenting on Neuroimaging endpoints for HD studies and Track-HD data
Jeffrey Long presenting on Neuroimaging Data from Predict-HD
To be followed by Q&A Discussion (10 mins)
