Image Quality Control
Every patient is valuable in a clinical trial. However, poor quality images lead to poor quality endpoints and it is important to remove from the processing pipeline any images that would give unreliable results from the processing pipeline.
For both MRI and PET imaging, patient motion is a common cause of artifact that can prevent the images from being usable in a trial. We carefully check for motion and other artifacts during our quality control process and typically request a rescan of any images that fall below the expected image quality requirements.
